Yoga Therapy
How does yoga therapy work?
There are so many yoga postures, or asanas, that can help a variety of physical and mental needs. Before the class, you will be asked a number of questions relating to your requirements and for you to air any concerns or challenges you may have with any aspects of your body. Jane will then take a hour class, adapting if necessary the postures for you so you gain the most from each posture. An osteopath will also be in the class and together, we will gently adjust you to ensure correct alignment in the postures. You will also be taught specific yogic breathing techniques to help you move deeper into the posture and to clear the mind.
Is it just for people with specific problems?
No – yoga therapy can of course assist in alleviating pain and discomfort but also can be an ideal introduction to yoga for a beginner or for a more advanced student can deepen their knowledge of the yoga postures and breathing
How long is the class?
The class lasts for 1 hour.
